Breakout seasons are popping up like
mushrooms in Spring as Mike Zunino, Matt Adams, Logan Morrison, David
Peralta and Zack Godley are producing really nice seasons to date.
Carlos Gomez, J. A. Happ and Mike Fiers are vets making noise of late
while rookies Ben Gamel and Jacob Faria are freshman that have burst
onto the fantasy scene.

Waiver Claims

Mike
Zunino C Mariners –
Zunino
was sent to the minors after scuffling out of the gate and was
batting all of 173 for the Seaman. Since his recall the Seattle
backstop has seen his average jump up to 257 and he has thumped 6
homers while driving in 15 runs over the last ten days. Zunino has
also tallied 14 safeties over his last ten games making him a catcher
worth playing going forward.

Matt
Adams 1B Braves –
Adams has come on
for the Bravos since arriving from St. Louis with a 10-game run of
batting 414 with 6 homers and 16 RBI along with an on base of 455.
The former Cardinal is too locked in to ignore any further.

Logan
Morrison 1B/OF Rays –
Morrison
continues his breakout season with 22 long balls including 5 over the
past ten games. The former Marlin has also driven in 16 runs for the
last week and a half giving him 51 for the season making LoMo a nice
addition for any owner needing more offense.

Ben
Gamel OF Mariners –
Gamel
has been a very pleasant surprise for Seattle as the rook is now on a
15-game hitting streak with hits in 25 of his last 26 outings. The
young lefty has 22 hits over his last 51 at bats for a blistering
average of 413, which has him now batting 352 with 40 runs scored.
Gamel is blistering hot so use him.

David
Peralta OF Diamondbacks –
Peralta has
come alive since moving to lead off for the snakes with multi-hits in
five games over the last 11. Over this span the lefty is 20 for 45
for a sizzling 444 clip with 13 runs scored, 3 long balls and 9 runs
driven in. Peralta is batting a lofty 330 with 45 runs scored, 7 long
balls, 5 stolen base for the year making him an ideal add one going
forward.

Carlos
Gomez OF Rangers –
Gomez has come off
the DL and has gotten back into the swing with 7 hits in his first 8
games and 10 hits over 30 at bats. Gomez has also clubbed 6 dingers
while knocking in 16 making.

Zack
Godley RP/SP Diamondbacks –
Godley
continues his break out campaign with 7 quality starts over his last
8 trips to the bump. The former Cub farmhand has allowed 13 runs over
46.1 innings for an ERA of 2.52 while punching out 37 batters. Godley
is pitching too well to be available in any league or format.

Mike
Fiers SP Astros –
Fiers is on a nice
run with 4 quality outings over his last five and has allowed just 4
earned runs over 27.1 frames for a spiffy ERA of 1.32. Fiers has also
allowed just 15 hits while striking out 25 and is 4-0 over this span
making the former Brewer well worth adding.

Jacob
Faria SP Rays –
Faria continues to
baffle hitters since his promotion to the show with four straight
quality starts and just 6 runs allowed over 25.1 innings. The
freshman has also punched out 29 batters while just surrendering 20
hits making this rookie a good addition to your roster.

Happ SP Blue Jays –
Happ
has started to look like he did in 2016 with three consecutive
quality outings and just 4 runs allowed over 18.1 innings. The lefty
has K’ed 22 batters over this span which has lowered his seasonal
ERA to 3.83 making the Happ a good addition to your pitching staff.
